We will follow ancient routes, like the via Claudia Augustina, combined with gravel trails through Europe’s most beautiful nature reserves, and routes that lead to the people that we are meeting along the way. Our first weeks are largely set out, but we also like to keep the route open and see where it takes us.
We will start from home, cycle to the south of the Netherlands, through Belgium, France, Germany and Austria to Italy. We plan to cycle all the way down to the south of Italy, and take the boat to Albania, take our time to make a long route throughout the Balkan countries, before heading further east. We do not know yet where our final destination lies.

We are looking forward to living outside for a longer period, cycling on a daily basis, sleeping in the wild, and engaging in conversation with the people we meet along the way. We will take our time and choose our route carefully. Along the way we will pause enough to get acquainted with the landscape and people living in it. It will give us some time and distance from our daily lives and routines, which will hopefully provide us the perfect setting to reflect, and explore ways to be human in an even more connected way to ourselves, nature and other people.
